Artist Statement

To live is to experience the highs of love and the burden of emotions. Throughout my journey as an artist the images that filter through my mind have always felt heavy and constantly emotionally charged. Made up of the small encounters with the people of my everyday being used as my models. Microscopic memories of driving by two kids playing, my grandmother cooking, or screaming in the mirror before bed have always been my resources and creative key. Into creating these vivid and deep colored worlds that allow me to sit with these vehement emotions and bloom into a project that becomes a fervent task. To leave behind these tinctures of different hues and figures of dynamic coloring to make the viewer see and experience the fire of my truth.
