Artist Statement .
To be alive is to experience the highs of love and the burden of emotion. Throughout my journey as an artist the concepts that my work has conjured from are everyday emotions that we all have had experience with such as loneliness, pride, and strength. Pieces made up of my understanding of these feelings and the people in my life who I experience these sentiments through. To capture the beautiful complexity of human kind and how much the people we interact with influence us and become our understanding of the world around us is the purpose of my work. Stripes of color act as pieces of a jigsaw puzzle that allow me to conceptualize the fire of living in drastic layers. Creating these vivid and deep colored worlds and leaving behind tinctures of different hues and figures of dynamic coloring.
